Who are we?
The Mat-Su Home Builders Association (MSHBA) acts as the Valley's voice for the home building industry. Our diverse group includes builders, roofers, realtors, electricians, as well as experts in windows, finance, garage doors and more. We are a dedicated team of local community members striving to maintain excellence in construction.
Through advocacy and education, we aim to enhance the business climate for members and to provide quality obtainable housing to our community.
What We Do
How can we help?
Consumers benefit directly from the MSHBA when looking for licensed, bonded and insured contractors or professionals during any stage of the building process. We host several events within the Mat-Su valley to bring the community face-to-face with the building industry's leaders.
We'll help you with consumer education, responsible home ownership and may even help you find your dream home!
- Our association has consistently supported candidates for local office who are in favor of building and development. With our membership call center, we've successfully educated local voters to confidently elect likeminded leadership.
- MSHBA builder members and Borough assembly members created a workgroup to update existing policies outlined in the Subdivision Construction Manual. Builders advocated for renewed policies that would keep costs affordable and redefined standards for constructing transportation networks. The manual now reflects safer and more efficient road systems. drainage facilities and utility right-of-ways.
